Field confirmed for the 2026 Cívis Cup

Eight U19 teams representing six countries will compete in the 2026 Cívis Cup, held in Debrecen from 22 to 25 October.
Organised by the DEAC Basketball Academy, the Cívis Cup has been held annually since 2018, with the exception of the COVID period. The international youth tournament regularly welcomes respected basketball programmes from across Europe and gives young players an opportunity to test themselves against international opposition in a competition environment modelled on senior basketball.
After last year’s U14 tournament, the focus will return to an older age group in 2026. The Hungarian national team won the 2025 edition by defeating Georgia’s Zaza Pachulia Basketball Academy in the final. In 2024, Orange1 Basket Bassano claimed the title with a convincing victory over fellow Italian side College Borgomanero, while USK Praha beat host DEAC Basketball Academy in the bronze-medal game.
Two Hungarian academies will take part in this year’s event: host DEAC Basketball Academy and Rátgéber Academy. Italy will also be represented by two teams. The 2024 champion Orange1 Basket Bassano will return to Debrecen, while Pallacanestro Forlì, whose youth programme includes a team competing at U19 Eccellenza level, will make its appearance at the tournament.
The line-up also features Munich-based IBAM, whose U19 team competes in Germany’s NBBL, the country’s leading national competition for the age group. Helsinki Basketball Academy will represent Finland. Operated in cooperation with the Finnish Basketball Association and Helsinki-based educational institutions, HBA combines high-level player development with academic studies.
Basket Brno of the Czech Republic and Inter Bratislava of Slovakia complete the eight-team international field.
